Nestled in a valley just below the tallest peak in two counties, Valilee Farms is a working farm consisting of more than 400 acres.

The farm received the Outstanding Forest Steward Award from the Virginia Department of Forestry in June 2010 and the Clear Water Farm Award from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation in 2014.

Although the orchard is no longer in commercial operation, you can read more about the apples for which we were famous elsewhere on this site, and even check out some recipes for what are sure to be your new favorite apple dishes.

The farm, located just off the Crooked Road and the Wilderness Road has historical significance, too, as Daniel Boone's oldest son was killed near here by Indians in 1773.

Our farm has been featured in the "Best of Country" in Country Magazine.  We are only a short drive away from the Wise County community made famous in the movie "Big Stone Gap."

Our family farmhouse, pictured below, was the base of operations for the farm from 1948 until 2023.
